Corporate diligence, due diligence, and reporting obligations play pivotal roles in meeting regulatory expectations. Organisations must maintain vigilance over their supply chains to ensure transparency and accountability.

To achieve robust due diligence, companies should:
- Establish: Set up clear procedures for due diligence.
- Implement: Put these procedures into practice across the organisation.
- Update: Regularly review and enhance due diligence processes.
- Compliance Protection: Ensure compliance with legal and safety requirements within supply chains.
- Annual Audits: Conduct annual audits to assess compliance with due diligence obligations.

A good consultant helps you follow the rules. They know the rules and show you how to follow them.
DVSA, DVLA, and the Police watch you. They want to see that operators are legally compliant and safe. They want you to do things right and they will check your records.
The Traffic Commissioners are extremely knowledgeable, fair, and balanced. They expect honesty from you in your relationship with them.
Kielin Consulting is your reliable partner, committed to ensuring legal compliance and safe operation. Their expertise extends to assisting you in your interactions with the Traffic Commissioner. Trust in their guidance and support as you navigate the complexities of regulatory requirements and maintain a secure and efficient operation.
Van Fleet Operators
While the van fleet operator does not require an operator’s license in Great Britain, there is still a requirement to maintain the vehicle to a high standard, and ensure drivers adhere to GB domestic hours rules where applicable. Furthermore, the drivers will require appropriate training and will need to be compliant with working time rules.
Kielin Consulting ensures you remain legally compliant and operate safely.
HGV and PSV Operator Licence Application
There are seven types of operator’s licenses available for both Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) and Public Service Vehicles (PSV) operators in Great Britain. Additionally, there are additional community transport permits specifically for PSV operators. When determining the appropriate license for your organisation, we will guide you through the process and assist with completing the application. Keep in mind that the application may require multiple documents as evidence.
Kielin Consulting will indeed guide you through the intricate application process. Whether you’re navigating the labyrinth of paperwork or assembling the necessary evidence, our expertise ensures a smoother journey.
Transport Consultancy
On-demand consultants serve as a valuable resource for bolstering your existing management team. Whether you’re a new or seasoned transport manager, our consultants provide essential support. We guide you away from the pitfalls that could lead to a PG9 or TE160 prohibition. However, if you do encounter a prohibition from DVSA or the police, rest assured, Kielin Consulting will collaborate with you to create a robust recovery program.
New Transport Manager Support
Your new Transport Manager, though fully qualified, may lack the rigorous experience necessary. Fear not! Kielin Consulting offer unwavering support, guiding you toward becoming an exemplary transport operator.
DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme
The DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme is a voluntary program designed for Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV) or Light Goods Vehicles (LGV) operators of all sizes. It also extends to Passenger Carrying Vehicles (PCV).
Here’s what it entails:
1. Exemplary Operator: By participating in this scheme, you demonstrate that you are an exemplary operator. This can be crucial when bidding for contracts.
2. Reduced Roadside Inspections: Operators in the scheme are less likely to have their vehicles stopped at the roadside for inspections. This streamlines operations and minimises disruptions.
3. DVSA Enforcement Visits: The scheme reduces the likelihood of DVSA enforcement staff visiting your premises. Compliance is recognised, and unnecessary visits are minimised.
4. Logo Usage: While you cannot display the DVSA earned recognition logo on your vehicles, you can use it on your website and other publicity materials.
5. Recognition on GOV.UK: Participating operators are recognised as DVSA-accredited operators on the official GOV.UK platform.
6. Dedicated Support: You gain direct access to a dedicated earned recognition team within DVSA.
7. OCRS Rating: As part of the scheme, you will move from the Green to the Blue category in your Operator Compliance Risk Score (OCRS).
Joining the DVSA Earned Recognition Scheme is a strategic step toward maintaining high standards and streamlining your operations.

Mission Zero Scheme
Mission Zero is indeed a Quality Standard for the road fleet sector. It serves as a strategic scheme for organisations to embrace a roadmap toward achieving three critical goals:
1. Zero Collisions: By prioritising safety and implementing best practices, Mission Zero aims to eliminate collisions on the road.
2. Zero Emissions: Environmental consciousness is at the core of Mission Zero. The goal is to reduce emissions and move toward a cleaner, greener fleet.
3. Zero Prohibitions: Compliance is key. Mission Zero ensures that organisations adhere to legal requirements, minimising prohibitions and disruptions.
